This quote from Pablo Picasso has always resonated with me:  “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”  Artistic creativity has served as an outlet for me – it’s a form of play, not work. The infinite possibilities ignite my passion to explore new ways of expressing my love of color and texture.  For as long as I can remember, color has been a major influence in my life.  It touches my soul, changes my mood, energizes me, and stirs my emotion.  Through my art, I seek to create compositions that similarly evoke in others an emotional response.  I consciously focus on transforming objects – rocks, metal utensils, found objects – to convey the possibilities for beauty and joy in all things.  I hope you enjoy my work and will share with me your thoughts about it.
